So in my class, we are reading a book called "Marriage and Family The Quest for Intimacy" written by Roberts H. Lauer and Jeanette C. Lauer. In this book it talks about the changing trends or patterns relationships are facing. A few of these changes were:
1.The rate for Premarital Sex has increased
2.Nonmarital births have also increased
3.More people are living alone
4.Cohabitation is more popular
5.Household sizes are decreasing
6. Divorce has increased.
These are just a few of the changes mentioned in this book; but we discussed the importance of each one and why they are significant in today's society. It was interesting to see, after our discussion, how each new "trend" is, in some way, connected to another.

My First Blog!

I am attending BYU-Idaho and I am in a family relations class. I have been asked to keep a blog and share what I learn and what is interesting to me. I hope you enjoy my blog and learn something new. :D
